St. Martha Youth Ministry offers several summer trips for our young people to encounter Christ, serve others, strengthen their faith, and have an amazing time!
S.H.I.N.E. stands for “Serving Him in the Needy and Elderly.” This week-long trip is about serving others. Teens will spend the week serving the poor and needy of our Houston community by working at soup kitchens, food banks, homeless shelters, nursing homes, and a variety of other places. After working each day, the teens will participate in retreat-like programming to help them grow in their faith and have a profound experience of God. Teens will have the opportunity to experience Mass each day, enjoy great music and food, participate in games, and form lasting friendships with others from our parish.
Registration takes place in November.
The Steubenville Youth Conference is a weekend filled with challenging and relevant talks by nationally-known Catholic speakers, profound encounter with Christ in the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist, and community with over 3,000 Catholic teens from around the country. It is a great way for young people to learn how to live out their faith in their families, schools, jobs, and teams.
Registration Opens Late February.
Join us this summer for the Archdiocesan Youth Conference (AYC) which gathers over 3000 participants (youth and adults) and is one of the Office of Youth Ministry’s largest evangelizing events for youth of high school age.
Through this event, young people are challenged to live out their faith, learn from exciting and informative presentations from outstanding national speakers and musicians, and make new friendships.
The Youth Conference also provides youth with a unique opportunity to interact with the Cardinal and Auxiliary Bishops of the Archdiocese to pray, dialogue and reflect on the role of the young church of Galveston-Houston.
Participants will experience the diversity of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and will also have the opportunity to share and deepen their faith through daily liturgy and prayer experiences.
Registration opens in March
