Inspiration for priesthood
: Fr. Nick was inspired by his father. Fr. Nick said that it was his father’s pious example that led him to consider becoming a priest. He entered the seminary at 12 years of age in the Philippines.
His current favorite food is either noodles or spaghetti.
Favorite TV show or movie
: An old favorite was Star Trek. Nowadays, it is the Discover channel or a Science channel.

Favorite childhood memory
: Fr. Nick recalls when he was very young, going out for ice cream with his parents and siblings.

What have I got that makes you seek my friendship? What are you hoping to gain, my dear Jesus to make you spend the long dark nights of winter copiously covered in dew on my doorstep? Oh how hard indeed were the entrails of mine for I did not open. Such strange craziness that the icy frost of my ungratefulness should dry the wounds of the pure soles of your feet. How many times did the angel say to me, “Soul, now come over, look out the window and see with what love he keeps on knocking.” And how many times, you sovereign of beauty, did I answer, “Tomorrow we will open,” only to give the same answer tomorrow.

: For Fr. Nick, it is presiding at Mass and hearing Confessions.
Fr. Nick enjoys snorkeling, swimming, and taking long walks.
Surprise fact you may not know:
Fr. Nick was ordained in the Philippians yet most of his priestly ministry has been outside the Philippians.
