Cardinal DiNardo has appointed
Fr. Thomas Joseph Dolce as the new pastor of St. Martha Catholic Church effective July 1, 2018. Many parishioners know Fr. T.J. from the time when he was a parochial vicar at St. Martha’s as well as when he did his seminary pastoral year at the parish. He was ordained a priest on May 30, 2009 and has been the Director of Vocations for the archdiocese for the past several years.
The Cardinal also has appointed
Fr. Richard McNeillie as the new Director of Vocations for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Fr. Richard was ordained to the priesthood on June 6, 2015 and has served the people of St. Martha for three years. He now assumes a very important role in the life our archdiocese and looks forward to assisting parishes and religious communities of men and women in the promotion of religious and priestly vocations. His appointment becomes effective on July 1

Our new parochial vicar will be
Fr. Jonathan More whose home parish is St. Cecilia in Houston. Fr. Jonathan has been ordained for one year. During this past year he has been in Rome and has recently completed his theological studies. He is eager to begin his pastoral assignment and looks forward to priestly ministry at St. Martha. Fr. Jonathan is a very intelligent young priest and will be able to minister in English and Spanish.
The religious community of Mary the Mother of the Redeemer has also announced that they will transfer
Fr. Michael Pham from St. Martha to another parish in the area. He has been a tremendous help this past year and will be deeply missed by the entire parish community but especially by the pastoral staff.
Please keep these men as well as our parish family in your prayers. These changes were much more extensive than anyone ever anticipated. We will be transitioning from three full-time priests to two. The challenges are great but we will be blessed with strong and dynamic leadership. It is an opportunity for everyone to step forward and become fully engaged in building up God’s kingdom in the Kingwood area.
