Elementary 1st Reconciliation and 1st Communion Preparation:
“Go Seek Find: Discover God's Treasures”
is a new sacrament prep program centered on a new approach.
Instead of using a traditional textbook or workbook, children interact with and explore The Catholic Children's Bible, seeing how Scripture relates to the themes they are learning about—in a way they can understand.
Parents play a vital role in the preparation of their children for the celebration of the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion. In addition to their weekly catechesis classes, children in the second grade or above will have the option of entering our sacramental preparation process. Children must meet the eligibility requirements to enter the process.
Parents are required to register and provide a copy of your child’s baptismal certificate, prior to attending the sacrament meeting. A parent must attend an initial meeting at which you will receive materials, books and information to begin Sacrament preparation for your child.
** If your child has not been baptized, please call the Faith Formation Office at 281-358-1959 for questions about sacraments.
